I grew up between Sandpoint and Lake Havasu City, AZ and I don’t think you could find two places with greater personality and geographical differences than they had. I came down to Moscow from Sandpoint for the same reason most do: college. After I left U of I, I stuck around out of necessity and now I am happily here by choice. The community reminds me so much of the small community pockets I had growing up. I think leading with kindness and empathy is essential and I see that in spades here. It’s the kind of place where the people you know care about you. I went to school for creative writing and theater, I gain fulfillment working with my hands and with teams of people on all kinds of projects. What I love about Moscow is that, after working at the Co-Op, the Daily News, Wild@Art, co-hosting Moscow Alehouse Trivia and now having been with Moscow Realty since 2019, I know a person for everything. If someone needs help with photography, sound production, self-publishing, making a blanket chest, or starting a small business, I have someone I can reach out to for help. The only thing I want for is a lake but as a lake kid, born and raised, who could blame me?
